• Must be a citizen of South Africa, permanent residency or a refugee 
• You should not be a recipient of other social grants. 
• Your assets should not exceed R2 455 200 for married individuals or R2 227 600 for single individuals
• Must not be cared for in a state institution

What is the SASSA old age grant payment mode?

Payment can be made in different modes—they include cash paid to a set pay point on the prearranged day, Postbank account, via establishments such as assisted living facilities, and electronic deposits in banks.
